First Writing Assignment

When I first heard that I had to write in English I was kind of nervous because since I have been studying English I didn`t like to write in English. Even if it was about me or things that have my attention. It was a little awkward to me. I didn't get a good grade but I think it is important to write about it.
The topic was:
"write about an experience which left you feeling good about human-kind"
It was a little difficult. The topic was different. I didn't think about that in the past, so trying to find a good experience was difficult for me.
I had a lot of run-on sentences. My vocabulary wasn't the best ever, but I was learning how to write.
in the past I didn't have an idea of how to write an essay. I was a little concerned about that.
but at the end, even that a hadn't get the best grade, I learnt about my mistakes.
